Detective Kieran O'Reilly, a member of the Garda National Drugs Unit became the subject after he appeared in the hit crime series 'Love / Hate'  in the role of an undercover Garda.

It's now emerged that Detective O'Reilly has been given an ultimatum by senior management that he will be suspended if he does not seek a transfer from his unit.

The Irish Independent reports that O'Reilly refused to seek the transfer after seeking legal advice.
