Ulster have confirmed that Andrew Trimble is out for a "period of months"
The province says the Ireland winger suffered significant ligament damage to his toe playing in the PRO12 game against Glasgow Warriors.
Ulster say that Trimble will seek a second opinion and will release another update on his recovery period later this week, but that this stage he is expected to be sidelined for several months.
The timescale means he will miss the upcoming November International fixtures for Ireland after an impressive showing in Ireland's Six Nations win.
Meanwhile, Luke Marshall is out for six weeks having sustained a medial ligament injury to his left knee playing for the Ravens against Yorkshire Carnegie on Saturday.
