- Arguably the biggest move so far on transfer deadline day is Wilfried Zaha moving on loan from Manchester United to Cardiff. The young winger had been expected to depart Old Trafford temporarily throughout the window and will now link up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
- One half of the Da Silva twins has also moved to Cardiff City. Fabio has left Manchester United but on a permanent deal.
- Ireland striker Kevin Doyle has left League One Wolves for QPR on loan.
- Fulham have taken Germany international Lewis Holtby on loan from Tottenham. Dimitar Berbatov is being linked with a loan move to AS Monaco.
- Greece striker Konstantinos Mitroglou has moved to Craven Cottage from Olympiakos, for a fee believed to be over €14 million.
- Sunderland have made a permanent signing in Liam Bridcutt from Brighton. The fee is believed to be €3 million.
- The volatile Dani Osvaldo has joined Italian league leaders Juventus on loan.
- Chelsea have completed the signing of highly-rated Saint Etienne defender Kurt Zouma on a five-year deal. The transfer costs the Blues €14.5 million and the 19-year-old will be loaned back to Saint Etienne until the end of the season.
- Sweden international Kim Kallstrom has moved on loan to Arsenal after passing his medical.
- Crystal Palace have signed Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey from Wolves.
- Celtic have accepted a bid from Palace for midfielder Joe Ledley but Hoops manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that they are close to sealing the signature of Wolves striker Leigh Griffiths who was on loan at Hibs last season.
- Adel Taarabt has completed his loan move from QPR to AC Milan, while Northern Irish defender Aaron Hughes has moved to QPR on loan from Fulham.
