Tim Sherwood is the man Tottenham have trusted with their nuclear codes.
But this weekend he went for the nuclear option according to Pat Nevin by claiming that his players "lacked character" following the 4 - 0 defeat at Chelsea.
"You can use that [form of criticism] but it is a nuclear option. Do not use that one too often. Use it once or twice a season and you might get a good reaction. But in the end, if you look at it rationally, what's the manager's job? Well, it's tactical but it's also to get the players up for it and make sure they have the right attitude. There is no lack of numbers in that Tottenham dressing room."
Pat also believes Robin Van Persie's relationship with David Moyes is "very good" and that any ill-feeling may be aimed at someone else.
Meanwhile, Pat also explains why he fears for West Bromwhich Albion who are in freefall.
