Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is hoping to resurrect his career as a professional baseball player.

The 28-year-old has not played a competitive game since 2014, but was part of the Philadelphia Eagles squad in 2015, during their pre-season campaign. He currently works an an analyst on ESPN covering college football.

Despite numerous attempts to try and earn a NFL contract (including a spell with the New England Patriots), Tebow looks set to give up on his football dream to try and pursue a career in Major League Baseball.

Tebow had a successful career as a High School player, and according to ESPN, he has invited all 30 MLB teams to see him practice, in the hope of earning a contract.

"Tim's athletic ability, his work ethic, his leadership and his competitiveness were evident in football and will show in baseball. Knowing Tim's passion and desire, we won't be surprised by anything he accomplishes", his agent Jimmy Sexton revealed.

If Tebow were to earn a contract, he would become the most famous player to compete in both sports since Bo Jackson did in the 1980s and 90s. Predominately a baseball player, Jackson spent four years playing both sports for the Kansas City Royals and the Oakland Raiders.

Tebow will be hoping to follow in Jackson's path, whoever tough it may be.
