Thunder and Roses took the spoils in today's Boylesports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.

The Sandra Hughes' trained horse was led home by jockey Katie Walsh, sister of Ruby.

In an uneventful race, which saw five horses come to grief at the first fence, 20/1 Thunder and Roses finished ahead of Rule  The World and Sizing Coal.

AP McCoy rode the 12/1 Cantlow to a sixth place finish.
