Kevin Pietersen will not be involved in this summer's Ashes series.

Thats according to new ECB Director of Cricket, Andrew Strauss who stated the that the batsman was not part of England's plans for the summer.

Former captain Strauss and Pietersen have had a stressful relationship in recent years with Pietersen texting opposition players in 2012 about Strauss in a derogatory fashion.
