With last night’s disappointment at the Aviva stadium still fresh in the memory today’s Newstalk Sport Saturday show looks ahead to the altogether more exciting prospect of tomorrow’s All-Ireland hurling final between Cork and Clare.

A mouth watering tie between Jimmy Barry Murphy’s Rebels and Davy Fitzgerald’s Banner side awaits and you can join us today to get comprehensive previews and analysis of the battle for Liam.

Today’s panel is made up of former Tyrone football goalkeeper John Devine, chief sports writer with the Daily Mail Shane McGrath and former Dublin minor football manager Val Andrew, as Ger Gilroy once again leads an in-depth discussion on the finer points of the sporting world.

Diarmuid Lyng is at the Kilmacud Crokes 7s for us throughout the day, and he’ll be bringing us opinions from the many big hurling names who annually grace the 7 a side competition on the eve of the big game.

Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier in Vienna is the final chance for Giovanni Trapattoni and Ireland to rescue their World Cup campaign. While qualification seems almost impossible it is now crystal clear what is needed from the game – 3 points and noting less. In advance of the game we have Rafa Honigstein on the show to look ahead at the Austrian opposition and assess Ireland’s chances, while we also have Kevin Kilbane on the show to offer his assessment of where Ireland stand now.

Along with all of that there’s Eddie O’Sullivan on rugby and analysis of the US Open at Flushing Meadows, where  Novak Djokovic and Rafa Nadal are on course for another grand slam final meeting.

Join us from 2 for a day packed with sports coverage and analysis and if you miss anything you can get the highlights on NEwstalk.ie or iTunes.
