The FAI are paying attention to Coventry City star James Maddison according to reports this morning. 

Maddison, who has not played international football at any level for England has an Irish grandparent according to The Irish Sun. 

Tottenham are interested in signing the 19-year-old. Newspaper reports in England have stated that Mauricio Pochettino's side are willing to loan Maddison back to Coventry City in a similar manner to their signing of Dele Alli last January. 

Maddison made his debut for Coventry at the start of the 2014-15 season after rising through the club's underage ranks. He has scored four goals for the club including a goal against Chesterfield last month.
