Star Wars fans have created countless tributes to their favourite film series over the years - from animated versions to parodies to straight-up low-to-no budget remakes. Now, hundreds of these fan productions have been edited together to create a full-length 'remake' of The Empire Strikes Back.

Fans were asked to remake 15 second scenes as they saw fit, and naturally the results ranged in style, production values and even medium. 

More than 480 fan-made segments - chosen from over 1,500 submissions - have been put together to create The Empire Strikes Back Uncut. The resulting feature has been shared on the official Star Wars YouTube channel.

The project was directed by Casey Pugh, who achieved a viral hit with his fan footage edit of the first Star Wars film.
