Kenyan Eliud Too has won the 35th Dublin Marathon in a time of 2 hours, 14 minutes and 46 seconds.
Esther Macheria claimed the women's race, followed seconds later by last year's winner Maria McCambridge.
Patrick Monaghan from Naas Co Kildare won the wheelchair section with a new record time for Dublin.
Around 14,600 people have taken to the streets of Dublin today for the 35th Dublin Marathon.
They are running a 26.2 mile route that starts at Fitzwilliam Street Upper and ends at Merrion Square, with the first competitors having crossed the start line at 9am.
People from 47 countries are taking part in the event.
Extensive road closures remain in place around the capital to facilitate the marathon, with Dublin Bus and Luas operating restricted services.
