Manchester United are set to step up their chase for Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus according to reports.
Reus' former Dortmund team-mate Mario Gotze has claimed that the Germany international has been "hankering" after a move to United according to the Manchester Evening News.
The forward has scored 40 goals in 85 appearances for the German side and was a key component of the side which reached last season's Champions League final.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United will try to seal the deal by sending attacking midfielder Shinji Kagawa back to Dortmund as part of the deal.
Reus' contract runs until 2017 but is believed to contain a buy-out clause worth about €35 million.
United have already seemingly missed out on Dortmund and Germany midfielder Ilkay Gundogan who signed a contract extension yesterday. His deal will now run out in 2016.
