Premier League champions Manchester City will be looking to close the gap on their neighbours Manchester Unted back to seven points later today.

Tottenham can move within a point of third place Chelsea if they win away to West Brom with kick off is at 1.30pm. Unsurprisingly errant striker Peter Odemwingie will sit this one out after his transfer deadline day antics. But Youssouf Mulumbu could return after his DR Congo side were knocked out of the African Cup of Nations last week.

However Emmauel Adebayor will be unavailable for Tottenham as his Togo continue their quest for continental glory. But Germany international Lewis Holtby could make his Spurs debut.

West Brom v Tottenham is today's first live game on Newstalk Sport. Tune in from 1.30pm for commentary from Ken Early alongside Republic of Ireland international Stephen Hunt.

Manchester City vs Liverpool is the second live game of the day on Newstalk Sport with Dave McIntyre and Kevin Kilbane bringing you live coverage from the Etihad at 4pm.
