It was Roy Keane and rugby misery across the board for the Sunday papers but to start things off today Paul Kimmage and Eamonn McCann began with Joe Brolly, a man who Kimmage interviewed for today’s Sunday Independent. Kimmage told Joe Molloy and McCann that Brolly proved a remarkable interviewee and, “in all my time in this business he’s number one.”
Kimmage gave us a look into the experience of spending time with Brolly and seeing a man very much at odds with the image he has garnered from his appearances on the Sunday Game.
There was also analysis of the coverage of Roy Keane and Martin O’Neill’s start in the Ireland job, Joe Schmidt’s rapid exit from the honeymoon period and Usain Bolt’s words on the issue of drugs in Jamaican athletics. As you can imagine, Kimmage was able to offer expert insight into the issue.
