St Patrick's Athletic allowed an early lead to slip as they were beaten 2-1 this evening by their hosts Skonto Riga in the first-leg of their Europa League qualifier.

The Saints took the lead in the first-half, but were not able to build on Aaron Greene's 21st minute goal as the Latvian side scored once in either half.

Greene's powerful finish into the top corner of the net has at least given Liam Buckley's side an away goal to build on ahead of the return leg at Richmond Park.
