The Spar Great Ireland Run 2014 takes place this Sunday, April 6th and tonight on Off The Ball we chatted to Irish athletics legend Sonia O'Sullivan about the latest edition of an Irish sporting institution.
She believes that having it on TV gives it great exposure but that the location of the race could be an issue.
"I think the problem is sometimes when it's in the Phoenix Park, it's not in the town or city so you don't have people walking down the street turning around and seeing what's going on. So it's a little bit of an effort [for people] to come and watch it."
But O'Sullivan believes the support for the event still exists.
"It definitely gets support around the country from people who come and run," said the Corkonian, adding:
"I think it is the best organized and best run race in the country."
