West Ham winger Sofiane Feghouli's red card against Manchester United has been overturned.

The Algeria international was sent off for a challenge on United defender Phil Jones in their Premier League defeat to United on Monday.

Feghouli was facing a three-match ban, but his club had appealed the decision.

He will now be available for Friday's FA Cup match against Manchester City, and subsequent Premier League games against Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough.

After the 2-0 loss to United, Hammers boss Slaven Bilic had been critical of the way Jones reacted to the challenge.

"It was not a red card. Feghouli's foot was not high in the air. It was not deliberate," he said.

"Phil made a meal of it, but you cannot blame him. Maybe he made a meal because he is the one who went dangerously and he is saving himself."

Despite being an Algeria international, the France born player will not be heading to the Africa Cup of Nations this month after being surprisingly left out of the squad for the tournament.
