Wigan rugby league forward Ben Flower has been banned for six months.
The player has been punished heavily for punching St Helens' Lance Hohaia in Saturday's Super League grand final.
Flower had been charged with a Grade F offence yesterday which carried the possibility of a lengthy ban.

The Welsh international and the Warriors say they will not be appealing against the decision.
Flower and his club have also issued another public apology to Hohaia for the attack.
Hohaia accepted a one-match ban for striking Flower prior to getting floored with a right hook from the Wigan player.
