Kevin Doherty has been appointed as the new manager of Shelbourne FC
The former Shels player has previously managed the club's Under-19 side and will now set about earning his UEFA Pro-Licence ahead of the start of the new season.
The Dublin side missed out on promotion to the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division, losing a playoff to Galway FC.

Doherty replaces John McDonnell who took over at Drogheda United at the end of the season.
