Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given has hit out at the Scottish media ahead of Friday's Euro 2016 qualifier over the focus on James McCarthy and Aiden McGeady.
Both internationals were born and raised in Scotland but chose to represent the Irish.
Given does expect the pair to get a reaction from the home fans at Celtic Park but feels that would be unfair.
"You could go round every country in Europe and say there's players born in different countries playing for them. So I did think [criticism of McGeady and McCarthy] was unfair. You can look through the Scottish squad as well and see some of their players not being born in Scotland. That's not having a go at them. That's just the rules of FIFA," he said.
