Shane Lowry is looking to make his game more fired up when he takes to Irish Open course tomorrow.

The Offaly man finished Day 1 on 1-over par in testing conditions and at the end of his round, he took time out to chat to Off The Ball's Joe Molloy who is at Royal County Down - which we will be covering live on Saturday and Sunday.

"It's very tough. Every hole is a crosswind so it's very difficult. It's hard to hit the ball close, some holes it's hard to hit the fairways," said Lowry.

"I think I'll need to be more aggressive tomorrow. When it's a day like that, you're thinking pars, pars, pars, but I definitely need to be more aggressive tomorrow."

Joe was also joined by Dermot Gilleece of The Sunday Independent to review and analyse Round 1.
