Irish Olympic silver medalist, John Joe Nevin is targeting a return to action by this Autumn after having both of his legs broken in an assault near his home in Mullingar last Saturday.
Nevin's right leg was broken in two places while subsequent scans confirmed that he had also fractured his left leg just above the ankle.
The 24-year-old has thanked all his supporters for their well wishes and support in the wake of the attack and says he is now working towards the future, with his manager Tom Moran hopeful of an Autumn return.
