An Olympic boxer has been accused of sexually assaulting a housekeeper - the second boxer to face such charges at the Games.

Namibian Jonas Junius competes in the light-middleweight division and was the flag-bearer for his country at the opening ceremony.

The 22-year-old was due to fight French boxer Hassan Amzile on Thursday.

Namibia's embassy and Olympic officials are yet to comment.

His arrest comes just a few days after Moroccan boxer Hassan Saada was arrested by Brazilian police on suspicion of raping two female workers at the Olympic Village.

Under Brazilian law, suspects can be held for a lengthy period while a case is investigated.

Saada was expected to remain in jail for 15 days while police examined the women's claims.
