Brighton defender Gordon Greer is like the rest of us looking forward to this Friday and the clash with Ireland at Parkhead. The 33 year old from Glasgow who counts Swindon Kilmarknock , Doncaster , Stockport and Blackburn among his previous clubs is a late bloomer only stepping up to international football last year winning 13 caps since under Gordon Strachan.  The central defender has been talking about representing his country late in his career, facing Ireland in a vital Euro 2106 qualifier and the criticism of him by Poland striker Robert Lewandowski's because of the tackle he made on him last month.  The Bayern Munich striker claimed the Brighton captain left him in agony after what he called a "brutal" challenge in Scotland's draw with the Pols. Greer who has been descried as a “rock star” by Strachan also addressed the issue of Mc Carthy and McGeady and if they should receive the hostile reception Gordon mc Queen feels they deserve.
