Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt has named his first squad of players for a training camp this weekend at Carton House.

A massive panel of 42 players has been invited to the camp, which will last from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning.

Jonathan Sexton will have to fly-in from Paris after the Racing Metro out-half was invited to the camp, while Leicester winger Niall Morris is the only other foreign-based player to be selected.

Up-and-coming Leinster prop Jack McGrath has earned a call-up after his impressive start to the Pro-12 season, while the likes of Dave Kilcoyne and Stephen Archer will also get a chance to impress.

However, there is no place for the likes of Jamie Hagan, Tom Court and James Downey, who all took part in the North American tour this summer.

Schmidt has also indicated that the likes of Tommy O'Donnell, Michael Bent, Stuart Olding, Andrew Trimble, Craig Gilroy and Felix Jones have not been considered due to injury, but could come into contention for the November internationals.
