Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt has hinted that Cian Healy could come into consideration for next weekend's final warm-up match against England.

Schmidt named his team to face Wales today and faced questions about the prop's availability in the midst of fitness concerns.

"I wouldn't rule it out," he said of Healy's potential to play against England.

"The way he's going, I wouldn't rule out some involvement. If he is involved, it would most likely be of the bench and we'd be looking to give him 20 minutes. But then we're also prepared to be patient and I guess the challenge for him is to stand by and watch Jack McGrath and Dave Kilcoyne and let them put their hands up."
