Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce has reportedly told the club he wants to leave less than two weeks after securing their Premier League status.

The Daily Mail's chief sports reporter Matt Lawton reported the story on Tuesday afternoon, claiming the former England boss sought assurances from chairman Steve Parish before committing his future to the club.

Allardyce replaced Alan Pardew in the hot-seat last December with the club were in danger of relegation.

Lawton says that the 62-year-old was unhappy with some of the club's transfer policies and wanted guarantees he could strengthen during the summer.
