Irish duo Claire Lambe and Sinead Lynch have qualified for the semi-finals in the Women's Lightweight Sculls.

Lambe and Lynch finished second in their heat this morning to advance.

They set a time of 7:10.91 to finish behind the South African pair Kirsten McCann and Ursula Grobler.

And Gary and Paul O'Donovan followed that up in the men's lightweight heats.

They won their heat, finishing ahead of the Italian pair.

The Irish duo set it in a time of 6:23.72.
