In the week that Steven Gerrard announced that he will leave Anfield at the end of the season, the Liverpool captain scored twice to send his side through to the FA Cup Fourth Round.

Gerrard gave Liverpool the lead when he headed in Javier Manquillo's cross before the quarter hour mark had even arrived.

But Wimbledon hit back ahead of the break when powerhouse striker Adebayo Akinfenwa tapped in after Simon Mignolet failed to grasp a ball in.

However, Gerrard had the last laugh when he curled a free-kick into the top corner in the second half.

Liverpool face Bolton in the next round.

Burnley and Tottenham face a replay after a draw at Turf Moor.

Spurs took the lead when Nacer Chadli scored 10 minutes after half-time.

But Sam Vokes got the equaliser for the home side.

The winner of the replay host Leicester in the fourth round.
