Manchester United may be without Wayne Rooney for this evening's clash with Liverpool.
The United skipper returns from the international break with a suspected hamstring injury.
Rooney, who this week broke Bobby Charlton's record by registering his 50th goal for England, will face a race to be fit for the visit of the Merseyside club.
According to reports he is understood to have felt tightness in the back of a leg during United’s last training session.
Rooney’s involvement in United’s Champions League tie against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday could also be in doubt.
Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 5.30pm.
