Wayne Rooney trained with the rest of the Manchester United squad this morning ahead of tomorrow's Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash with Bayern Munich.

The England striker did not feature against Newcastle last weekend due to a toe injury, but the 28-year-old has flown to Germany with the rest of the United squad as they look to build on the 1 - 1 first-leg draw at Old Trafford last week.

Defender Jonny Evans also marked his comeback from a calf injury by playing 65 minutes of an U21 match but the game against Bayern is likely to come too soon for the Northern Ireland international.
