Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has dismissed reports of a "crisis meeting" at the club's training ground following their 4-1 Premier League defeat to Arsenal at the weekend.

It has been claimed by some of the members of his squad reacted angrily to being told they were not playing for him.

But Rodgers says that such suggestions are not true.

"It was nothing really. It was purely analysing performance, analysing what we're at and then feeding forward to the players with seven games to go and an FA Cup quarter-final. It's just unfortunate, obviously, something else was made up," he said.

The Reds are now seven points off fourth placed Manchester City who have a chance to stretch that gap if they win at Crystal Palace tonight.
