New Waterford United manager Roddy Collins says he initially turned down the position he took up today.

The ex-Bohs boss, who recently told Off The Ball that he was not keen on returning to League of Ireland management, joined us as always on a Tuesday night alongside Stuart Byrne and says his change of mind is down to the excitement of the challenge as well as the good facilities on offer.

"Waterford United has brilliant facilities. It can't get any worse than bottom of the First Division and I believe that I can make a difference," he said

"I'd no interest, I'd actually turned it down at the start and then I went to meet the lads, chat with them and I thought 'yeah, I've a bit of a feel for this' and then I came down and a had a bit of a walk around and thought 'I can make this better'".

Stuey and Roddy also gave their take on Bray Wanderers' decision to appoint Trevor Croly as manager this week, and Stuey hopes that he will have learned from his experience at Shamrock Rovers.
