Roddy Collins has been named Derry City's new manager.

Collins led Athlone Town to the Airtricity Premier Division this year but left the club following disagreements over budgets.

The 52-year-old replaces Declan Devine at the Candystripes and ex-Derry man Peter Hutton is expected to become his assistant.

Derry finished fourth in the top flight this season, qualifying for the Europa League.
