Rob Kearney has signed a new three-year deal with the IRFU, keeping him at Leinster until June 2018.

The full-back, who featured in last Saturday's win over South Africa, has represented his country 56 times – scoring 11 tries in the process. Kearney says he's happy to have signed a new deal, adding that it's "a great honour" to extend his stay and hopefully play a part in future successes.

The next focus for the Louth man is possibly Georgia (he may be rested for the game), but he will almost definitely feature against Australia who visit the Aviva the weekend after next.

Rob is a senior international with a proven pedigree and a key voice within our environment. Keeping our stars at Leinster will ensure that we continue to compete for silverware in our domestic competition and in Europe.”

Commenting on the new contract Rob Kearney:
