A former drug dealer who's turned his life around is to appear in the upcoming series of Love Hate.

27-year-old Daniel Doyle from Ballymun was jailed in 2007 on drugs and firearms charges, and was stabbed twice since 2010.

Doyle spent 18 months at Mountjoy Prison where it was said he quit drugs and spent most of his time working out. 

But when he was released he returned to his old lifestyle. He eventually quit crime when he was knifed 13 times.

According to the Irish Daily Mirror he has since quit a life of crime and is signed up to the Assets modelling agency.

It's understood he's landed a role in what's to be the final series of the gritty drama.
