Harry Redknapp has spoken of his admiration for Robbie Keane, but says his QPR side have not made any enquiries about the Republic of Ireland skipper's availability.

Keane says he will assess his options after taking a holiday.

That will come in the wake of his match-winning turn for LA Galaxy in the MLS Cup final.

But QPR is unlikely to be his destination should he leave the Californian club.

"We've not made an enquiry for Robbie Keane. I've not spoken to Jermain Defoe either," said Redknapp, who also took time to praise his former Tottenham forward.

"Robbie's an amazing footballer, one of the best professionals I've come across.
