Raheny United fell to a 4 - 0 home defeat to English side Bristol Academy in the first leg of their last-32 encounter in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
The Irish Women's National League champions fell behind in the first half at Richmond Park to a Natasha Harding goal in 29th minute.
Raheny came back into the match in the second half, but as they sought an equaliser, Harding found the net again on 78 minutes.
Nicola Watts added a third from the penalty spot for Bristol Academy in injury time.
The English team even found time for a fourth as Natalia Pablos Sanchon tapping in before the final whistle.
The second leg against Bristol is next Wednesday.
