Conor Lyne
The 21-year-old Alpine Skier, who moved to the US as a child, was named as Ireland's flag bearer for today's opening ceremony.
Born in Reading, England but raised in the USA from the age of four, the Utah resident will take part in the slalom and giant slalom.
He has Kerry and Limerick roots.
Sean Greenwood
Greenwood will take part in the Skeleton. Previously a competitor for Canada, Greenwood was interviewed by Off The Ball recently and explained why he has chosen to represent Ireland.
A late-comer to the sport, he is ranked 39th in the world.
Florence Bell

Just 17, Florence will take part in the downhill slalom and giant slalom.
The skier was born in England but like the rest of the five-person team, she has chosen Ireland.
She pipped her 18-year-old sister Victoria to the only Irish spot for Sochi.
Jan Rossiter
The 26-year-old cross-country skier was born in Cork to an Irish father and Czech mother.
He was raised in Ontario, Canada where he lives, trains and works. Holding a degree in Physiology, Jan works in a hospital.
Ranked 55th in the world in his discipline, he will take part in the Men's 15 kilometre classical cross-country.
Seamus O'Connor

Born in San Diego, the 16-year-old snowboarder is ranked 13th in the world in the slopestyle event and takes part in tomorrow morning's semi-finals. He was among many fellow athletes to describe the Sochi slopestyle course as "dangerous".
O'Connor has roots in Drogheda and Dublin, although his father was raised in England and his mother is Russian.
O'Connor will also take part in the halfpipe event at Sochi.
