There is a huge game at the foot of the Airtricity League Premier Division table tonight.

Bottom of the table Shelbourne will travel to Thomond Park to take on Limerick FC, knowing that anything short of victory could be fatal for their chances of staying up.

If Shels lose tonight's game, it would mean that UCD will be safe for another season, while Bray Wanderers would only need a point from their last two games to keep them off the bottom of the table and avoid automatic relegation.

Shels' recent form has been dire despite an initial boost after manager Johnny McDonnell arrived in May.

They are searching for their first league win in ten games, having lost seven of their last eight outings but will travel with some confidence having taken four points out of six from two games against Limerick this season.

Limerick’s four game unbeaten run came to an end in Bray last Sunday and manager Stuart Taylor intends to give youth a fling tonight as his side continue to battle for a top six finish. Stephen Folan and Samuel Oji are suspended while Shane Tracy, Stephen McGann and Danny Galbraith are all out through injury.

However Shels have injury worries of their own. Glenn Cronin, Brian Shortall, Mark Leech and Jack Memery remain out through injury while Robert Bayly and Sean Brennan are suspended.

Kick-off is at 7.45.
