Arsenal have claimed all three points against Southampton at the Emirates. 

An Olivier Giroud brace was enough to seal the points for the Gunners. 

The first was a tap in, after a mistake by Southampton keeper Artur Boruc, while the second came from the penalty spot. 

Elsewhere, Newcastle beat Norwich 2-1. Remy and Gouffran on the scoresheet for the Magpies, with Leroy Fer replying for Norwich. 

Charlie Adam and N'Zonzi have given Stoke City a 2-nil win at home to 10-man Sunderland, after Wes Brown was given a straight red card in the first half for the visitors. 

Swansea beat Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage. Scott Parker had cancelled out an Aaron Hughes own goal for the home side, but Jonjo Shelvey has given the Swans the win. 

And Crystal Palace have moved off the bottom of the table after beating Hull City 1-0, thanks to a late Barry Bannan goal. 

West Ham and Chelsea kicked off at 5.30pm in the late game at Upton Park. Chelsea are currently leading 1-0.

Earlier, Everton and Liverpool shared the spoils in a 3-all draw after an action-packed Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. 

Three goals in the opening 20 minutes set the tempo for a pulsating match. 

Romelu Lukaku looked to have given the Blues the win with two late goals, but Daniel Sturridge equalised for the Reds with just minutes remaining to share the spoils.
