Over the weekend, Cora Staunton delivered the latest of her extraordinary scoring feats for Mayo as they beat Galway to the Connacht Ladies football title.
She notched 2-14 alone in a performance you can watch here.
But equally as impressive in a different way was her team-mate Martha Carter who had to fight through the pain barrier.
Just 10 minutes into the game, Carter suffered a broken hand but incredibly, she kept going and finished the game despite the injury.
As her manager Frank Browne said, she showed some amount of "character" to battle on regardless. Both he and Staunton lauded her bravery when they spoke to Jerome Quinn after the game.
