Ireland will face Germany, Poland, Scotland, Georgia and Gibraltar in qualifying group D for Euro 2016.
The draw presents a challenge, but not an overly worrying one, as Poland, ranked 70th in the world, will likely battle with Ireland, and perhaps Scotland, for the second automatic qualifying spot.
Ireland manager Martin O’Neill has admitted Germany look set to be the outstanding side in Group D of the Euro 2016 qualifiers, but he insists there’s plenty to play for as Ireland go in search of qualification for a trip to France in 2 years time.
