Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Paul Pogba is part of the club's long term plans.

The French midfielder's future has been thrown into doubt again after he was pictured with Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane during the international break.

Solskjaer believes Pogba remains fully committed to helping the Old Trafford club get back to the top of the Premier League.

"It's a picture. When you're at Man United you get pictures taken of you. I don't have any problem with that at all.

"Paul is part of our plans. He's been playing through the pain barrier but when he came back against Rochdale and Arsenal he wanted to play.

"He tried to get back but it was too painful. He had that scan, he's on the way back, he's recovering, he's mending. He's been off for a few days working.

"I've not heard Paul say he doesn't want to be here. Paul wants to stay here and play well."

The United boss also says he maintains a strong relationship with the club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward:

"I speak to Ed regularly. As I've said many times, we do have a plan.

"And we've made some decisions that maybe in the short term would harm us but we know in the long term will benefit us and that's part of the plan.

"The results are always the main thing, we can move forward quicker if we get results and performances. But I'm sure that we will get there.

"It's still planning - next transfer window, summer transfer window - and how we see the team moving forward."
