Anthony Pilkington has withdrawn from the Ireland squad to face Wales after picking up knee injury in training with Norwich.

He has been unable to take to the field for Norwich during pre-season because of the injury, while the latest withdrawal means he is yet to wear the green shirt in a senior match despite numerous call ups.

Simon Cox has also been forced to withdraw from the squad with an ankle injury.

West Ham goalkeeper Stephen Henderson has been called up as a replacement for Millwall's David Forde ahead of Irelands friendly with Wales. The Galway man misses out with a knee injury.
