Ruan Pienaar could make his return from injury against Ireland next month.
The Ulster scrum half is yet to appear for the province this season after suffering a knee injury in last month's Rugby Championship clash with the All Blacks.
Springboks coach Heyneke Meyer has named Pienaar in his touring party that will face tests against Ireland, England, Italy and Wales.
Meyer has also included five uncapped players in the 36-man squad.
Ireland face South Africa at the Aviva on November 8th.
