The last couple of weeks have not been filled with too much good news for Tommy Bowe as the knee injury sustained in the Rugby World Cup quarter-final defeat to Argentina rules him out of next Spring's Six Nations campaign.
The Ulster and Ireland winger has had surgery on the injury and found some novel use for the post-op scar - for artistic purposes:
