Often when a player signs for a football club, some of the transfer fee is recouped by shirt sales.

But when that player eventually heads for pastures new, those replica shirts with the player's name on the back sometimes end up getting burned or destroyed.

But for one Liverpool fan, he has taken recycling to new heights by keeping an old Fernando Torres jersey and simply taping the surname of new signing Rickie Lambert where 'Torres' was once emblazoned.

Perhaps with the knowledge that the Spaniard caused £50 million to enter Liverpool's coffers (and later wasted on Andy Carroll) and that he was proving to be more of a liability at Chelsea, the fan decided to keep the shirt relatively intact with some very rudimentary adjustments...
