About 14 months ago, just before we started the World Cup podcast which would later develop into the current Team 33, we were having trouble coming up with a name to go with the initial idea.
Luckily, Joe Coffey had an epiphany and we went for 'Team 33' which harks back to that sorry night in Paris 2009 when Thierry Henry's handball left a sour taste in the mouth.
Sepp Blatter isn't laughing much now, but "he was back then at the idea of the FAI requesting that the Boys in Green be admitted to the 2010 World Cup as the 33rd team.
As we've all discovered this week, there was "a little bit more to the story than we knew at the time.
In that vein some smart thinkers at the Newstalk office designed this updated logo for us with John Delaney taking Henry's spot on the canvas:
