England manager Roy Hodgson hopes England can avoid yet another exit on penalties at the World Cup.

The former Switzerland manager is looking into the possibility of using a psychologist to help the players with their spot-kicks ahead of this summer's tournament in Brazil.

The Three Lions have been knocked out on penalties at Italia 90, Euro 96, World Cup 98, Euro 2004 and World Cup 2006.

Former England manager Glenn Hoddle, whose side went out on penalties to Argentina in 1998, told Sky Sports News that it is a good idea.
